WHO WE ARE

First of all, there are a lot of us. Approximately, 1.4 million members in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. We come from every origin—Black, White, Hispanic, Indian, and Asian. We are working men and women, youngsters on their first job and oldsters preparing for retirement. We all come together to make this democratic union work constructively for us. We have over a century and a half of tradition and experience.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

There is no union, which understands the problems and concerns of  working people better than the UFCW. Local 911, based in Northwest Ohio, is dedicated to serving its 8,000 members. A full time staff handles negotiations, grievances, arbitrations and organizing campaigns as part of their daily routine.

WE ARE DIVERSE

We represent employees in many different types of industry, such as: Retail Food and Non-Food, Packinghouse, Manufacturing, Processing, Health Care and Canneries-to name a few. Our members work for both small local companies and giant corporations. The members working for each of these companies determine their own contracts and working conditions.
