S.T.O.P. is a UFCW Local 911 program that gives members a chance to earn $9.00 per hour while supporting Union activities that help protect their job, promote their Union and assist the Union movement.

It is financed through a special assessment approved by the members and gives members a chance to recoup that assessment and more if they participate.

We especially encourage our new members and younger members to get involved with their Union and, of course, all members are welcome.

Listed below are the normal procedures and guidelines for the S.T.O.P. Program.

Participants will be paid $9.00 per hour. Participants must work a minimum of 1 hour. Members will be given first consideration for work followed by family members and retirees. It is not necessary for members to call in advance. Members can simply show up at the designated location and report to the coordinator unless it is specified otherwise on the schedule or special notice. Please dress appropriately for the weather. If it is raining or there is severe weather, the picketing will be cancelled.
